Ben Spies Threatens Ducati In Their Own Backyard

Ben Spies Takes On ImolaBen Spies has had quite the year so far.

Having already taken the top spot on the podium in 12 of the 22 races so far this season, Yamaha’s whirlwind rider has seemingly turned into the school bully, and has now turned his gleering attention in Ducati’s direction.

Heading to Imola this weekend, Spies will attempt to break the Yamaha curse at Imola by being the first rider to win a World Superbike race on the Italian circuit. Ducati on the other hand have taken six wins from the past eleven championship races at the circuit.

Nevertheless, Spies has an uncanny habit of winning at tracks he has never raced on before, so considering he has ridden Imola before we’re thinking he’s certainly in with a good chance.

We know this is Ducati’s backyard and the past has been pretty good for them, so it will be tough. Having said that we have some good stuff worked out with the bike and the team has been continuing to develop so I’m confident we can pull in some good results.

We’re looking forward to a promising performance!
