If you didn’t already know, the RoadLoK is a revolutionary device that mounts permanently onto your front calliper. No modifications are required to do this, and the RoadLoK is designed to stay here.
When it’s time to secure your bike, you’ll need nothing more than the sprung loaded locking pin that is specific to your RoadLoK (you’ll immediately appreciate the small, easy to carry pin – as opposed to the usual clunky disclock that you’re used to). Slot the pin into the RoadLoK, edge your bike forwards/backwards a fraction and ‘CLICK’ the pin springs into place securely through the disc.
As equally exciting, is the insurance discount you should expect! As the RoadLoK meets Thatcham approval, you can enjoy an insurance discount – now that’s not to be sniffed at! RoadLoK’s are rated in category MC3 for mechanical immobilisers, evaluation number: TMC3 323/1210. Don’t forget to mention this when you’re getting your insurance quote.
Now you’re more protected from crime than you would otherwise be, and you’ll also benefit from extra protection from yourself! By this, we mean the dreaded disclock syndrome (if you haven’t done it yourself, you’ll know somebody who has bitten the dust after forgetting to take off a disclock). The RoadLoK completely immobilises the front wheel, so you simply cannot move forward, jolt to a halt and fall off (or at best smash your front fender). All you’ll do is stall – now of that isn’t a money saving experience, we don’t know what is!
