JOB VACANCY: Service Manager

Located in the heart of Nottinghamshire, we are a solus Suzuki dealer with an impeccable reputation across our broad customer base.

Our growing business now requires a dedicated Service Manager. This is a pivotal role and the successful candidate will become a pillar of the company. They will be required to work closely with management, facilitate the smooth operation of the workshop technicians and deal thoughtfully with our most important asset, our customers.

Essential requirements of a service manager:

Suzuki Service Manager

  1. Exceptional communication and customer care skills
  2. Experience of modern motorcycle mechanics
  3. Strong organisational skills
  4. Computer skills

Previous experience in a similar role is very beneficial but not absolutely essential. A time-served motorcycle technician with strong inter-personal and organisational skills will be ideal.

You will have an excellent approach to work and understand that a flexible attitude to overtime will be necessary during our busier seasons and as required.

You will ideally hold a full car and motorcycle licence.

Duties of a service manager:

  • Dealing courteously with our loyal customer base: taking bookings; diagnosing issues; resolving complaints; maintaining our excellent reputation for customer care.
  • Facilitating our technicians: allocating work (including accurate job times); preparing job cards; parts sourcing; promoting workshop efficiency, productivity and profitability.
  • Administration: submitting and monitoring warranty claims; preparing bills.
  • Management: reporting to Managing Director; ensuring technicians undergo Suzuki technical training; producing targets; developing key performance indicators.

Job Details and How To Apply

Working hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9-6pm and Saturday 9-5pm (39 hours), to include a one hour lunch break

Holidays: Twenty days per year, in addition to bank holidays

Salary:Negotiable, depending on the individual’s skills and experience
