TaylorMade Racing is a company of partners who are passionate about bikes, and especially about racing parts and aftermarket enhancements. These partners have poured their 60 years of combined experience into dressing up the Fireblade in its finest, with a truly stunning underbelly slip-on system decked out in real carbon fibre trims. These trims fit in as if they came straight out of the factory – absolutely flawless. The slash-cut styling is something you might recognise from the formidable Marc Marquez’s early racing days.
It’s not just about the looks. Because of its clever underbelly placement and compact, thin-wall stainless steel construction, the Fireblade exhausts from TaylorMade save at least 4.5kg of weight compared to stock. That’s a pretty big difference for a slip-on system! Less weight means even smoother handling on the track or on the road – and maybe even a second or two off your lap time. Coupled with performance boosts, the TaylorMade exhaust takes your Fireblade up to the next level.
The other big bonus is the sound – and, let’s face it, that’s what you want from an aftermarket exhaust. The throaty growl that the TaylorMade Fireblade exhaust makes gives you plenty to shout about. You’ll turn heads everywhere you go with this rich, deep rumble, but the best part is that it’s not loud enough to get the neighbours ringing Environmental Health.
At 104dB, this can won’t attract unwanted attention and should pass an MOT with flying colours. The judgement of what is ‘too loud’ is entirely down to the MOT tester themselves. Our workshop guys have assured us that the TaylorMade exhausts are fine by them – in fact, they’ve been fitting them to customers’ bikes for years.
If you’re looking to test your Blade on the track once it’s kitted out with a shiny new TaylorMade exhaust, 104dB might be a little too boisterous for some UK tracks. To quieten the exhaust down to a tamer 102dB, there’s an optional removable baffle available. If you have any doubts, ring up the track and check their noise limits.
What’s available from TaylorMade Racing UK?
Every TaylorMade exhaust kit we sell comes with the carbon fibre trims included, though you have the option to buy just the hardware if you want. They also come with an O2 sensor (to eliminate the FI warning light), a fitting kit and full fitting instructions. There are a few optional extras available too, to make your Fireblade exhaust even better. An optional pre-mapped Dynojet Power Commander V helps you make the most of the power increase with your new exhaust. If you ever need to replace the O2 sensor or the carbon fibre trims, these can be purchased separately – and yes, there’s free delivery on those too!
As well as slip-on exhaust systems for the 2008 – 2011 and 2012 – 2015 Fireblades, we can kit out your Blade with some flattering carbon fibre accessories. The Fireblade tail tidy pictured here smartens up the back of your bike with compact, streamlined carbon fibre. It’s a small, easily fitted modification that makes a big difference, when you compare it to the eyesore of a stock bracket.

We stock the full range of carbon fibre rear huggers, shark guards, sprocket covers and composite crank cases to go with your Fireblade exhaust. All of these accessories are made of 100% carbon fibre – unlike some manufacturers, who dress up fibreglass with a layer of carbon and call it carbon fibre. You might cut corners on the track, but TaylorMade never cut corners when it comes to quality.

The European market has been crying out for a full system exhaust for the Honda CBR1000RR since 2013, and TaylorMade have definitely been listening. You may have heard that there’s a new slash-cut underbelly exhaust kit coming for the 2014 and 2015 Fireblades… well, you heard right! It’s tantalisingly close, and here at Two Wheel Centre we’re just as excited as you are!
TaylorMade are now in the process of producing and refining the exhaust, adding the final touches to make it the best it can be. Trust us, you won’t have to wait too long – and as soon as we know something, you’ll know.
