The Motocomm DSR-1003G – The Best Helmet Camera Yet?

Ask any biker who has used a helmet camera and you will probably be unsuprised to hear that the quality was somewhat disappointing, the picture was grainy, the sound quality was rubbish, the battery died…the list goes on.

So when we got our hands on the new Motocomm DSR-1003G, you could say we were less than optimistic. But boy, does this piece of kit deliver!

We subjected it to some rigourous testing, including fixing it aboard the bike of World Twinshock Championship rider Steve Cottam at the Pontrilas round in Wales.

He said “After using several helmet cameras in the past while racing, I was suprised with the DSR as it is a super product and really easy to use. The quality of the footage and the sound is second to none, and it was great to replay the footage as soon as I got off the bike. It would definitely be my choice of helmet cam out of all the ones I’ve used. In fact, I already own one!”

As well as coming with a truck load of accesories to make any biker drewl at the mouth, the DSR-100G has some great features. You can read about them here.

So, in short, you can stop looking. You have just found the best helmet cam in the world!

  1. I’ve never used it on a motorbike, but on my bicycle, but the ATC range of action cameras are a very reliable range and capture at a very good picture quality for the money! A resolution of 640×480 at 30fps delivers a very nice picture quality, and I’d imagine it’d work really well for motorcyclists!
