James Toseland has officially lost his place on the Yamaha Tech 3 MotoGP team at the end of the season.
It is speculated he will be replaced by the whirlwind World Superbike rider Ben Spies, who has taken his championship by storm this year.
Toseland showed promise when he first moved to MotoGP, after winning 2 championship titles in the World Superbikes. Hopes were high for the Sheffield rider, but after two disappointing seasons in MotoGP and a current 13th place standing in the championship tables, it seems Toseland’s time has come to an end in motorcycling’s premier series.
It is now thought that Toseland may return to World Superbikes to fill the space left by Spies.
