A Farewell To Our Bri

Brian Finlay

Last week, the staff here at Two Wheel Centre were sad to bid farewell to one of our dedicated team.

Brian Finlay, who has worked for the company for 5 years, left to embark on his retirement last weekend. Nicknamed Bri, B-Ri and ‘The Finster’, Brian will be much missed – as will his valeting skills!

Born on 9th May 1945, Brian started his career in a much more exciting – and dangerous – setting with the Three Paras Parachute Regiment. Serving in the army for 12 years, and adopting the quirky nickname of ‘Para-Fin’, Bri’s next venture was with Mansfield Sands before he came to Two Wheel Centre to, as he says, whip us into action!

Into motorbikes since his very first 1963 Bridgestone 125 (that’s a bike, not a tyre), Bri’s current bike is a Z750 though he will profess to have a super soft spot for his old BMW R1200.

Bri plans to grab a bit of time in retirement to recover his health, before dashing off around the world on a few motorcycle cruising holidays. His planned route? France, Spain, Germany. It sounds like the life.

Arguably though, B-Ri deserves every minute of it, and from all the staff at Two Wheel Centre we wish him a very happy retirement.

Thank you, Bri.
