The colourful graphics on the AGV Corsa Rossi Winter Test 2014 are quirky, eye-catching and sure to turn heads, with the “two faced” graphics which show Rossi’s face looking out through the back of the helmet. The message to Rossi’s opponents who are riding on his tail is clear: “I have my eyes on you”. Stunning Rossi graphics aside, the 2014 AGV Corsa Winter Test is a top of the range Kevlar and Carbon Fibre composite helmet, which incorporates all the design and safety features the serious rider demands from a premium helmet. The aggressive shell shape is based on the top spec AGV Pista GP: it is designed for aerodynamic brilliance and extreme performance in the “tucked to the tank” riding position. Aerodynamics are further enhanced by the large rear spoiler, which not only increases stability by 44% (compared to previous top spec AGV helmets), but also reduces wind roar and buffeting, guaranteeing maximum stability at speed. The AGV Corsa also has four 4 shell sizes, with optimum fit further enhanced by the adjustable skull cap for a truly customised fit.
The 2014 Rossi Winter Test also features the Pista 3.3mm Polycarbonate optically correct visor, which is designed to give a greater field of vision when in the “tuck” position. This basically means the field of vision ahead, when the riders head is lowered (i.e at higher speeds) is increased by 15°. The visor is also wider by a factor of 9° creating increased peripheral vision. The integrated Pinlock and tear off posts means you can have a tear off ready helmet, with guaranteed fog free vision.
Ventilation on the lid is state of the art and features the same Integrated Ventilation System technology as we see on the Pista GP – but with a couple of crucial improvements. The most notable of these is the easy push-button open/close air vents. The vents are extensive and efficient, with three intake vents to the front of the helmet, plus two on the chin bar, which funnel air through the helmet effectively dispersing excess heat. This warm air is then channelled out through the two large exhaust vents to the rear of the helmet.
The EPS liner on the AGV Corsa Rossi Winter Test is “graded” affording increased density in those areas most susceptible to major impacts in the event of an accident.
The inner linings are also constructed from an anti-bacterial, micro-wicking material. They are also fully removable and washable. The removable cheek pads combine with the neoprene neck roll for a seamless and comfortable fit. The fastening is a double D closure system for maximum reliability.
