If you’re in the market for a new exhaust for your Kawasaki ZX10R, chances are you’ve been doing some hunting around for the perfect thing. Well look no further because I can promise you that you have found it with the Kawasaki ZX10R Taylormade exhaust.
Although the Taylormade exhaust is not the cheapest aftermarket exhaust out there, when you buy a Taylormade exhaust, you are not simply buying a new exhaust, you are buying a piece of true craftsmanship that has been lovingly designed and made by the wonderful team behind Taylormade in America. As with all Taylormade exhausts, the styling is in true Moto-GP style and the slip-on exhaust is hand-constructed from stainless steel components which instantly reduces the weight by 4.5kgs. Included with the exhaust for £699.99 are carbon fibre trim panels for both the left and right sides of the bike which discreetly hide the exhaust system to perfection whilst also giving the bike a truly sleek look.
The exhaust can be supplied without the carbon fibre trims if you so wish which will give you a saving of £160.00, however in my opinion, it really is £160.00 well spent as they do add an element class and style to the bike. And when you’ve spent thousands on the bike of your dreams, what’s an extra £160.00 eh!?
With the Taylormade exhaust you also have ability to use the exhaust with or without a DB Killer which is perfect if you are looking to use your bike on the track or a simply a considerate soul! Without the DB killer fitted, at 6000rpm the exhaust will kick out 106dB, fit the DB Killer and this is reduced to 104dB.
The additional performance with the Taylormade is not to be overlooked either and at mid-range you will achieve an additional 5BHP – perfect for when you are on the track and simply wanting to ring every last little bit of power out! As with most of the Taylormade range, a Power Commander is not specifically required however you can purchase a pre-mapped Power Commander V for an additional £249.00 which will ensure optimal performance.
