Starting with the HJC RPHA 10+, this is a premium race helmet that has been refined for optimum aerodynamic performance in the “tucked” race position. 
In fact, every feature of the HJC RPHA 10+ is angled towards superior performance on the track, from the aerodynamically brilliant outer shell to it’s lightweight structure (the entire helmet is just 1250g, a whole 200g lighter than a Shoei X-Spirit 2), alongside the strategically positioned intake and exhaust vents and technically advanced internal EPS liner. By comparison, the RPHA ST (the “younger sibling” of the RPHA 10+) is the ultimate sports touring helmet. 
The RPHA ST derives much of its “design DNA” from the 10+, but there are some key differences which make this helmet arguably one of the best sports touring helmets currently up for grabs. First and foremost, despite having a built-in retractable sun visor the HJC RPHA ST is incredibly lightweight. It has also been designed to provide optimum aerodynamic performance, but this time when in the more upright sports-touring position and for faster road riding. This aerodynamic sleekness is achieved through integrated external vents, a smaller integrated central rear spoiler and innovative side-located rear spoilers. The RPHA ST also features extensive ventilation to keep you cool in hotter climates, and the RapidFire release system to allow you to remove and replace the visor in a matter of seconds completely tool-free. Lastly, the HJC RPHA Max Evo is a high spec sports-touring flip-front helmet, which is again based on the RPHA 10+ but is actually quite exceptional in its own right. 
For a flip front helmet with an in-built sun visor, the RPHA Max Evo is (again) incredibly lightweight, especially when compared to helmets of a similar type from other leading manufacturers. This is largely thanks to HJC’s use of a Premium Integrated Matrix (PIM) for the outer shell construction (this means that the shell comprises several sought-after fibres, including fibreglass, carbon fibre and aramid fibres, which make for a very strong but very lightweight construction). Designed with sports touring in mind, the RPHA Max Evo is shaped to ensure a smooth flow of air over and around the helmet for optimum aerodynamic performance – despite the inherently modular design of a flip-front helmet.
