Shoei 2016: New Year, New Shoei Helmets!

Time for a new lid? Take a look at our Shoei 2016 range with not one, but TWO new helmets.

Shoei have done it again! Constantly innovating, these Japanese helmet giants don’t just stick with what works – they strive to make it better every year. 2016 is no exception, with two entirely new helmet models* introduced this year. As well as new helmets, there are graphics and replicas galore to ring in the new year. Take a look at the entire Shoei helmets range to see what’s new, and read on for our round-up of what Shoei have been up to.

Introducing the X-Spirit 3…

Shoei 2016 X-Spirit 3 Shoei have worked hard on the track in 2015 to produce the best race helmet that they can make. When it’s the best Shoei can do, it’s serious stuff: a proper race helmet worn by MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, packed with exciting new technology to shave off those lap times and protect your head in the most extreme situations.

So, what’s changed from the X-Spirit 2? Almost everything is new on the X-Spirit 3, from the modular, adjustable interior to the re-designed ventilation system. The shape of the helmet shell has been refined through wind tunnel testing to ensure the smoothest, quickest airflow possible around your lid on the track. Even the new CWR-F visor is aerodynamic!

The X-Spirit 3 is designed for the track, with no compromises. It’s geared towards the tucked-in racing position, with a new aggressive shell shape and wider field of vision. The rear ‘wings’ reduce vibration by 50% over the previous model, drag and lift has been reduced and the helmet has been tested for stability at a whopping 300 km/h.

If you’re serious about racing, don’t even bother looking at other helmets. Grab yourself a Shoei X-Spirit 3 and see what a cutting-edge helmet can do for your performance. An added bonus is our £75 Shoei Free Spend Offer, exclusively from us here at Two Wheel Centre.

The J.O Open Face Helmet

Shoei 2016 J.O open face helmet Less speed demon and more café racer? The Shoei J.O open face helmet adds some retro style to the Shoei 2016 range. Whether you’re riding a custom cruiser, a classic street bike or a quirky 125, this helmet is right up your alley. This helmet may look retro, but it isn’t just a flimsy piece of nostalgia. It’s designed with the Shoei attention to detail that we’ve come to expect.

The J.O’s shell is lightweight, compact and super-strong, constructed from Shoei’s multi-layered AIM matrix. There’s no buffeting or dry eyes with the new CJ-3 visor: it has clever upturned edges to deflect wind away from your face.

Every detail has been engineered for a premium look and feel on the Shoei J.O. The plush interior is fit for a King, nubuck leather deflects glare from the visor and the retro Shoei logo has been placed discreetly throughout the design. There’s even a vintage Shoei original tag inside the helmet – if you want a helmet to be proud of, this is it.

Of course, if you’re a custom biker, you’ll want to wear the J.O just the way you like it. Multi-density cheek pads, a goggle strap, the 3-step adjustable visor and a unique J.O sticker all enable you to get that custom look and feel. Available in three colours and the Hawker graphic (pictured), you’re bound to find a helmet to show off at your favourite biker café. You’ll also get up to £40 to spend when you buy a new Shoei J.O from us.

New Graphics for 2016

Shoei 2016 GT Air Dauntless graphicFeast your eyes on these new graphics! It’s all change in the NXR helmet range, with not one but three new replica graphics. This includes the Digi Ant, a unique and amazingly detailed design to celebrate the young champion’s achievements.

Another eye-popping addition to the NXR 2016 range is the leather corset and graffiti design of the Seduction graphic. This helmet is a real treat for women riders with an edgy style, coming in smaller head sizes and a choice of black and white or black and pink.

The GT Air range has been gifted with two new graphics: the sharply styled Expanse and the Dauntless. The Dauntless TC8 (pictured) follows the 2016 trend for orange gear without screaming too loudly at passers by!

Shoei have also expanded their Neotec flip-front range with the stand-out Imminent graphic, which looks great from all angles. The VFX-W range of pro MX helmets now includes the Turmoil graphic, available in eye-catching red, blue and orange patterns. Whatever and wherever you ride, there’s something to suit you in the Shoei 2016 range.
