Since Ben Spies was handed a wildcard entry to the last leg of the 2009 MotoGP, speculation has been mounting over the debut GP performance of the young American – even in Valentino’s camp.
Yamaha have been quick to assure Spies that his every need will be catered for, though they are yet to release information on how the WSB star’s YZR-M1 machine will compare to the likes of Rossi and Lorenzo’s.
Valentino is said to be curious over Spies wildcard entry. He said:
It will be interesting for sure. I think it’s very clever for Ben to make a wildcard. It will be a great advantage for him next season.
