National magazines don’t make mistakes, do they?
Evidently, yes they do, as Twist and Go scooter magazine demonstrated last month.

The scootering guru magazine got its knickers in a twist in the September/October 2009 issue, when it published an article on the new Piaggio MP3 400LT.
The article falsely stated that the MP3 400LT…
…can be ridden/driven on a standard car licence with no need for any more training, or even a helmet. That’s so long as the licence was acquired since 1997, when this category came into being. If your licence is pre-97, then you’ll still need to take the bike test to ride the big MP3.
Entirely incorrect!
In fact, anyone with a full car licence can ride the LT with no additional training (though we would recommend it).
Twist and Go Magazine will be issuing a retraction of the article in the next issue.
