Top 5 Ladies Motorcycle Jackets

Looking for a new motorcycle jacket?

A major part of any biker’s gear is the motorcycle jacket. For women riders, it can be hard to find a jacket that keeps you safe, suits your shape and reflects your personal style. No-one knows this more than we do, as we have a lot of women riders and female staff here at Two Wheel Centre! We asked our Parts and Accessories guys and girls, and used our collective experience, to help us come up with a list of the top 5 ladies motorcycle jackets.

1. The RST Brooklyn Vented textile jacket

RST Brroklyn Vented ladies motorcycle jacket The Brooklyn Vented is the summer version of RST’S Brooklyn jacket, with extensive mesh panels added to keep you cool. It’s available in 3 colours and is well tailored to the female figure, with an adjustable waist to help you find the perfect fit.

As well as being flattering, the Brooklyn is also versatile to get you through all weathers, with waterproof and thermal linings which you can remove and replace as needed. It’s a durable jacket all round, with triple stitched nylon seams to resist tearing and bursting. This jacket will see you through many a season!

Finally, and most importantly, the Brooklyn vented includes CE approved armour throughout, and a flexible Aktiv contour back protector. The Brooklyn’s no wallflower when it comes to protection. You can’t go wrong with this jacket, and we think it’s one of the best summer jackets out there.

2. The Merlin Bromley wax cotton jacket

Merlin Bromley ladies motorcycle jacketThe Bromley adds a touch of country girl style to the ladies motorcycle jacket. This jacket is just as at home taking the dog for a long Sunday walk in the open fields, as it is on the bike. The outer is a wax cotton fabric, manufactured by Halley Stevensons of Scotland, who usually supply luxury designer brands such as Barbour and Belstaff. It’s protective against all weathers, with a Reissa waterproof and breathable liner.

Despite this not looking like your typical motorcycle jacket, the Bromley is primarily built for the female biker. It has CE approved armour to the shoulder and elbow and adjustable fastenings to keep you riding comfortably, along with a generous number of pockets to keep your valuables safe. This is a luxurious and versatile ladies motorcycle jacket, for on and off the bike, and the price is remarkably low considering the quality fabrics used. The Bromley could easily become your new wardrobe staple, whatever you get up to outdoors.

3. The Buffalo Tess textile jacket

4. The Oxford Dakota textile jacket

Oxford Dakota ladies motorcycle jacketThe Oxford Dakota jacket is a newcomer to the bike jacket scene, but Oxford have been in the motorcycle market since 1973 and they know their stuff! This jacket focuses mainly on protection, with CE armour fitted in the shoulders and elbows of the jacket. To make the elbow armour more effective, the Dakota includes external elbow protector pockets to keep the elbow armour extra secure and increase rider comfort.

This jacket was designed to not just meet, but exceed CE standards, with reinforcement coming from hidden garment layers throughout the jacket. The whole structure of the Dakota is secured with safety stitching. This jacket is tough, despite its sleek and lightweight appearance. For even more protection, a CE back protector can be fitted instead of the non-CE back padding which is included with the jacket.

As well as protection, this jacket will keep you cool and dry, with 3 adjustable air vents and removable waterproof and thermal liners. There are also reflective details all around the jacket, for excellent night-time visibility. With all of these features, the Dakota comes at an excellent price, too!
