Introduced by Vespa, which claimed it was the only manufacturer “introducing an all steel scooter this year”, the Primavera scooter is available in three engine sizes including the 50cc, 125cc and 150cc units, the 125cc makes 10.7hp and will do up to an impressive 180mpg. The Vespa Primavera is offered in both two stroke and 4 stroke versions.

Add to this the new 11” wheels making this scooter even more stable, without sacrificing agility. The increased wheel base and length of the Vespa Primavera further enhance stability and rider safety.

The popularity of the Vespa style of riding has seen a massive resurgence in recent years, and the Primavera is set to further fuel this with its innovative design, which successfully combines new technologies with the classic Vespa lines and features we all recognise and love. Vespa really have got the styling right with the Primavera, generating a look which is both traditional and new. The Vespa Primavera creates an instant impression, with a beautiful paint finish and strategically sited chrome detail this scooter is a serious bit of eye candy. Add to this new features, such as the sculpted LED back light and upswept rear end, coupled with the classic form of the round headlight and you will be sold on the new Vespa Primavera.

The Vespa Primavera delivers its power in a smooth, responsive and user friendly way, making it a pleasure to navigate through town or cruise the open road.

The braking system on the Vespa Primavera is extremely effective and performed well during test conditions, having been put through its paces by the motorcycling press, amongst others. The front brake is a disc configuration with the rear brake being a surprisingly efficient 140mm drum.

Vespa are very proud of the suspension on the Vespa Primavera and with good reason. Most scooters pivot on one axis, interestingly the Vespa Primavera’s swing arm has dual axes, creating dual pivot points. The front suspension on the Vespa Primavera retains the single fork-arm we are familiar with, but also features a new hinged mounting system. The result is a 40% reduction in the acceleration forces through the seat, so you will enjoy smooth and rapid progression, with the ride being 40% less bumpy for your behind! This upgraded suspension system also creates an amazingly smooth ride which has received rave reviews during test ride conditions. The Vespa Primavera verily glides over the many imperfections in the tarmac, and those pothole judders and are a thing of the past.

They have tackled this with some subtle but effective dimension changes, the seat height is lowered, and the foot rests have been narrowed enabling riders of any height to touch down easily and safely when coming to a halt. The seat on the Vespa Primavera is well designed and really thickly padded for further rider comfort, effectively removing numb bum syndrome after a few hours in the saddle.

Lift the seat on the Vespa Primavera, using the button above the glove box, to reveal a generously proportioned cavity capable of housing an open or full face helmet. Push in the ignition key to find a smaller but useful glove box compartment.

Colour options for the Vespa Primavera are delicious and include MonteBianco White, Blue Midnight, Dragon Red, Crete Senesi Brown, MareChiaro Light Blue and Vulcan Black.

Vespa introduced the original Primavera in the 1960’s, a truly Italian product which became a worldwide phenomenon. Revamped and reintroduced, the Vespa Primavera remains a global icon of style and freedom. Take a journey on a Vespa Primavera and recapture that freedom.
