We like bizarre motorcycle stories, and this next story is just that.
Colin Furze, of Stamford, has written his name in the record books recently for having not the worlds fastest bike, but the world’s longest bike.
At over 14 metres (46ft) in length, Furze’s lengthy motorcycle smashed the previous 9 metre record, rolling over a 100 metre stretch of airfield to break the previous record.
Built in his back garden over a series of months, Colin’s project caused mixed feelings.
“My mum Beryl was quite interested at first in what I was doing but by the time it was finished, she was glad to see the back of it…she had to climb over it to get to the garden and the bins.”
Constructed from two Honda Sky 50cc mopeds, Colin extended the frame of the bike using aluminium. Take a look for yourself…
