Young Local Racer Taz Taylor In Action At Snetterton For The Next Round Of BSB!

Local racing talent Taz Taylor from Mansfield Woodhouse has made another impressive step forward in his racing career with a move to Bolton based race team FPW Racing.

Taz Taylor Luyten Honda 125

Still racing in the Monster Energy Motostar British Championship series, Taz’s recent move will make him the third rider in the FPW Racing Team alongside Greg Greenwood and Milo Ward. His first competitive race with the team will be at the next BSB Round in Snetterton over the weekend of 5th-7th July and the weekend probably cannot come soon enough for young Taz who is still only 15 years-old!

With the FPW Race Team, Taz will be riding the Luyten Honda RS125 GP (BSB Spec) machine that won the Championship last year so I am sure he has got high hopes for the rest of the year.

Taz and members of the team had a successful day of testing at Donington recently with team manager Adrian Mason commenting:

“By the end of the day we were getting the feedback we wanted allowing changes to be made with subsequent improvements in times.

This support and feedback is really what you want and need as a rider if you are going to progress and hopefully it is the start of a beautiful relationship between Taz and his new team.

So make a note in your diary and remember to tune in to Eurosport and ITV Sport for coverage of the next round of BSB at Snetterton where Taz will be on his debut race outing with his new team. We wish him all the best of luck and I am sure everyone out there will too!

And please, please please, if you are in a position where you are able to offering any support or sponsorship to a young home-grown, up-and-coming talent, please do not hesitate to get in touch. With estimated costs of a years racing coming in at around the £20,000 mark it really is not a cheap business. But if you watch Taz race you’ll see he is more than capable of big things and it would be money well spent!

Kath

Kath has worked with at Two Wheel since 2004. Having worked in our sales, service and accounts departments throughout the years she now works as part of the ever growing internet ales team. Kath is a valuable member of the team, although that wasn't always so. She says "When I first started here I was quite young and I dont think Pete realised my potential, so he gave me menial tasks like weeding the car park!" Well, Pete has never looked back. Completely efficient, Kath is an asset wherever you find her in the building.
