A story of mixed feelings here.
Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo is playing hardball with his MotoGP team, in a bid to up the status of his contract before he renews at the end of this year.
The Spanish 22 year old, who currently boasts Valentino Rossi as his team mate, seems somewhat jaded that his World Champion team mate is raking in more than him. This revelation was bought to the surface last week, before Lorenzo crashed out in the farewell British leg of the Championship last weekend.
Speaking before the GP, Lorenzo said of the situation:
When you get results and are at the front, everybody wants you, especially when you finish your contract this year…I have had offers from all the brands…I want to stay at Yamaha – it’s more about respect, it’s a question of being wanted…Yamaha has two very talented riders – maybe they don’t have the potential to offer to the two riders the same.
It is yet to be seen what will come of the ambitious rider’s scheming, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when news is available.
So what do you think – he’s within his right to barter for a better deal, or he should just know which side his bread is buttered?

I see Jorge has a point, he feels like he should be on the same salary as valo, however what he has to take into consideration is valo’s history, and the Brand “Rossi” this will outsell any other rider, Yamaha know this they make much much more money from that so it is out of the question that Jorge will earn more money even if he was world chamopion next year he wouldn’t, Shouldn’t earn as much, sorry Jorge but you have to build up slowly it doesn’t come easy dont bite the hand that feeds you!
