The clocks have turned, Halloween’s hallowed, Winter is here. Are you hanging up your leather jackets, tucking away your boots and storing your bike for hibernation? Is the idea of frozen fingers clasped around your handlebars with barely enough movement for pulling back the brakes keeping you inside? Are the grey days with fog blurring the beautiful landscapes that usually backdrop your motorcycle journeys putting you off?
A less pricey alternative to Heated gloves are Oxford’s Heated Grips? We stock ‘Essential’ or ‘premium’ options.
‘Essential’ or ‘Premium’ – How Much Can You Afford To Treat Yourself?
The ‘essential’ range is priced at £44.99, lower than the ‘premium,’ beginning at £79.99, with functions and features to match. ‘Essentials’ have two heat settings, with a high of 45°C, in contrast to the ‘premium’ range that spreads across five, with a maximum heat of 50°C. ‘Essential’s offer a one-piece moulded construction, with more minimal functions. ‘Premium’ provide extras for comfort, the automatic feature will save your battery as you leave your bike and the silicone buttons are raised and tactile, accessible wearing gloves.
Which Bikes Will The Oxford Heated Grips Warm?
Oxford Heated Grips don’t leave any bike out, they’re keen to include everyone. The ‘essential’ range fits scooters and small motorcycles. The premium range covers 22m handlebars, 22mm wide by 132/122mm long, 22mm wide by 120/110mm long handlebars, 25mm wide by 138/119mm long. Each pair of grips is suited to different styles or sizes of bikes. For some you can cut them to size if they aren’t a snug fit, please see each individual listing for this.
How do they heat me?
The Oxford Heated Grips are attached by a teeny, tiny wiring that runs from the grips to your bike. The installation is discreet so they won’t take away from the style of your bike, nor attract attention from opportunists passing by. Once they’re plugged in you can adjust the temperature up. Or up once more for the ‘essentials’ or four more times with the ‘premium.’ The rubber is designed so that feedback and performance aren’t affected.
They slip over your handlebars with ease, requiring minimal attachment effort.
If you are planning to ride this Winter, whether with Oxford Heated Grips, Gerbing, or however you can, we advise to ensure you keep yourself warm and dry! If you’re distracted by worrying about cold hands or soggy trousers you’re more likely to be involved in an accident.
