Taz Taylor: Seventh Heaven at Brands Hatch Superstock 600
Taz shares a racing team with fellow CF Motorsport rider Ben Currie, the only one of the two to place at Sunday’s Brands Hatch race. Taz began the weekend with a speedy set of races, doing himself proud, riding in the top six until the final qualifying in STK600. The front end spill saw him drop to 11th, starting him back at fourth on Sunday.
The race was broken up by the presence of a safety car on track allowing Taz the opportunity to power forward. In his previous two races; Silverstone GP and Oulton Park, he’d finished in a steady sixth – he was just one lower this time at seventh.
How about his CF Motorsport team mate Currie?
An additional nine points helped Taz stay firmly in the same position on the leader board at sixth. Unfortunately his competitor and team mate Currie crashed out of a ‘sprint’ race Saturday. He might have been back on the bike for Sunday’s finale but unfortunately his medical team delcared him unfit to ride.
Let’s see if the CF Motorsport team can boost their points back up at the following June Superstock 600 Championship at Knockhill.
