Taz Taylor Sets New Lap Record at Rowrah

Taz Taylor RacingLast weekend saw Taz get back up to winning form, after cleaning up yet another race meet grabbing first place in all 3 of his races.

Racing at Rowrah in the Lake District, Taz is safely speeding away with the championship. Moreover, he’s speeding away with the lap records. In race one, he racked up 55.16s – beating the previous record (his own) of 55.27s – and in race two he absolutely shattered both his earlier records with a lap of 54.4s. His blistering pace was slowed in race three due to wet conditions, but he still look the podium finish first place.

Taz’s next outing is at Teeside this Monday, where he’ll finally let loose on his new bike in a testing session. Fingers crossed it’ll be dry weather because he only has slick tyres at the minute! According to Taz’s dad, Shane, he’s finding it very hard to come by wets for the new Metrakit 80 at the minute.

Following this, it’s on to Llandown on the 5th/6th September, and hopefully back to winning!
