Charity Ride Out and Open Day – Sunday 18th August – Air Ambulance

That’s right guys and gals, on Sunday 18th August we are holding our very first charity ride out and open day in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. This event is long overdue as we have been talking about doing something like this for years, but it is finally happening and we couldn’t be more excited!

There are two main aims of the day:

  1. Raise lots of money for a very worthwhile charity
  2. Have some good old-fashioned fun

Absolutely everyone is more than welcome to attend the event and we cannot wait to spend the day with customers and friends old and new.

So the plan for the day is as follows:

  • 10am – Meet at Two Wheel Centre for bacon sandwiches and tea
  • 11am – Ride out – probably a round-robin to Gainsborough and back. There will more than likely be two groups (depending on numbers). We ask for a £5 donation per bike in aid of the Air Ambulance
  • PM – Afternoon of fun back at Two Wheel Centre

The afternoons events are shaping up nicely and even if you cannot attend the ride-out, you are more than welcome to come down in the afternoon (and vice-versa). We will be having music provided by local business Playback Enterprise and food will provided in the form of a BBQ – perfect summer eating!

In attendance we are also really pleased to have young Taz Taylor and his Luyten Honda RS125 GP (BSB Spec) bike. 15 year-old Taz is currently competing in the Monster Energy Motostar British Championship series – a support series at the BSB rounds, so we are really grateful for Taz spending his weekend off with us!

We also have on board Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes (another fantastic charity) who are coming along with their fully-liveried Honda Deauville Blood Bike; there will be an opportunity to see a motorcycle dressed up with various TaylorMade Racing goodies and we are really pleased to have Scorpion Exhausts coming down to showcase some of their designs.

The motorcycle showroom and clothing department will also be open during the afternoon with some special offers being arranged especially for the day!

And if that wasn’t enough we are also going to have a fantastic raffle on the day with some fantastic prizes up for grabs. Confirmed so far to be won on the day is an AGV Horizon helmet worth £269.99 (courtesy of AGV UK), 2 x BSB tickets for Cadwell Park (courtesy of Taz Taylor & co), a Scorpion Stainless Steel can (worth £300.00), 2 x VR46 Bridgestone Fleeces, 1 x Knox K-Pack Rucksack plus many, many more!

Kath has worked with at Two Wheel since 2004. Having worked in our sales, service and accounts departments throughout the years she now works as part of the ever growing internet ales team. Kath is a valuable member of the team, although that wasn't always so. She says "When I first started here I was quite young and I dont think Pete realised my potential, so he gave me menial tasks like weeding the car park!" Well, Pete has never looked back. Completely efficient, Kath is an asset wherever you find her in the building.
