MotoGP 2016: Two Wheel Centre’s Pre-season Predictions

MotoGP 2016 Two Wheel Centre predictions

MotoGP 2016 is just one week away… who will take the crown this year?

Are you excited? We’re excited! MotoGP 2016 starts in Qatar next week, with the first race on Sunday 20th March. Here at Two Wheel Centre, we’re massive MotoGP fans. We’ve even got a few ex-racers on staff. Whether we’re watching in our pyjamas at home or jetting off to Spain to cheer from the stands – everyone has their favourites.

Just to whet your whistle ahead of the start of the season, we’ve given our best educated guesses as to who will be champion this year. It seems like we’re all backing Yamaha, divided between Lorenzo and the Doctor. Let’s see which side of the fence we fall on…

Flying the flag for Lorenzo

Diane Scott, Sales Admin

‘It’s no 99 for me.’

Laura McLoughlin, Website Content Writer

‘I have faith in the L-name so I’m going to back Lorenzo, even though he was allegedly involved in the Rossi-Marquez collision. But I don’t think it’ll be easy for him and Rossi’s gona put up a tough fight – potentially still laced with bitter feelings!’

In the Rossi camp…

Jess Scott, Company Secretary

‘It would be wonderful to witness Rossi winning another GP. I think the competition is stiff, and it will never come to him on a plate (it’s probably the kind of thing that dreams are made of), but here’s to hoping!’

Tash Brailsford, Accounts and Website Assistant

‘Personally, I am a Rossi fan… who doesn’t love Rossi!?’

Eleanor Wilde, Website Content Writer

‘It would be really amazing to see Rossi win for the 10th time, but it’s an incredibly strong field and there’s a lot to lose for all the contenders. I think Vale can do it again, but it won’t be a ride in the park!’

The final word from Pete Scott, the big Boss:

‘It’s always going to be a close call, the field is very strong and the margin of skill separation is tiny. Machinery too of course plays it’s part in any competition involving vehicles. However ,as an ex racer, knowing all about these things is second knowledge to me and so therefore I declare, with all the wisdom of a “has been” who has seen and done it all before that VR will be the winner.’

So, who are you backing? Lorenzo, Rossi or even Marquez? Or maybe even Pedrosa? Share your predictions, comments, hopes and dreams in the comments.
