Finding protective gear from Knox for your motorbike trip
Planning a motorbike adventure is often just as, if not more, enjoyable than the trip itself. A study in the Netherlands found ‘the largest boost in happiness comes from the simple act of planning a vacation. In the study, the effect of vacation anticipation boosted happiness for eight weeks.’* I’m sure many seasoned trip planners or participators will be familiar with this exciting build up prior to the trip. This post isn’t about the practical, map-routes of planning, nor for inspiration taken from other adventurers – that’s something we’ve already covered in our “Planning a motorbike adventure” post. It also isn’t about bits of luggage and safety kit you can pick up, we’ve touched on that in our “Planning a Motorbike Adventure 2 What to Pack” post. He held up through this mammoth adventure with probably: lots of grit, determination, bravery in handling experiences beyond our wildest day-dreams (for those who haven’t experienced something similar) and a smidge of help from his gear. What did Jamie Duncan make of the kit he took?
“I really like the style, the clever expanding zipped panel and the modular nature of the [Leonard] jacket.” This was his response to all three pieces of kit, with a specific mention of the Leonard.
Regarding the dry inside…
“Kept me cool, dry and comfortable in the 90%+ humidity of a West African summer. I wore it pretty much everyday during the four month trip and, amazingly, [it] still smells as fresh as when it was new (well, almost!) Impressed.”
